Gavi was found injured in a warehouse near Tijuana, but his story took a beautiful turn when he was rescued during a volunteer spay-and-neuter clinic in Mexico. Named after Las Gaviotas (“the seagulls”), the beachside town where his rescuers were staying, his name is a sweet reminder of the change they were helping make happen for cats in need.

Shy at first, Gavi quickly shows his true colors once he feels safe — a total love bug with the cutest little “meep” meows and a goofy charm that wins everyone over. He’s also a cat’s cat through and through, happiest when surrounded by feline friends.

Paralyzed but unstoppable, Gavi found the perfect family — one that understands him deeply. His dad, who also has a spinal cord injury, and his mum both felt an instant connection to him. They say his care is simple, his joy contagious, and that life feels complete now that he’s part of their home.
