Purrmaid Merida (& Baby Purrmaid Enie)

Merida is full of sass and oozes personality. She was named after the main character in the Disney movie, Brave. Just like the Merida in the movie, she's strong, resilient, courageous, and determined to do things her way.

Her nickname, Spicy Lion, comes from her spicy attitude and her "lion-esque" tail style which is depicted in her mertail. The green colour was chosen as a reflection of her mesmerising green eyes.

This illustration was inspired by an actual interaction between Mer and Enie.

Merida is paralyzed and although we’re not sure how it happened, we believe she may have suffered injury from being stepped on by a cow as she was pulled from a farm that had large animals.

Merida was adopted by Jillian, founder of FosterBabyCats, a non-profit kitten rescue.
