Aoife, pronounced “Eee-fa” and meaning ‘beautiful’, was born with severe hip dysplasia and a spinal abnormality, which has resulted in hind leg paralysis and incontinence but she’s otherwise a healthy girl and isn’t in any pain or discomfort.
Aoife was found in a shelter as an orphaned 2 week old kitten, and was fostered by Shanta @triumphant_teagan, before going to her forever home with Sabrina and Jimmie.
About the tough little cutie, Shanta said, “By watching her here you would not know the challenges her little body must face. But those challenges do not equal an unworthiness to live a life filled with love and joy.”
Aoife was found in a shelter as an orphaned 2 week old kitten. She suffers from congenital deformities that have resulted in hind leg paralysis and incontinence, however is not in any pain or discomfort. In fact, she is constantly surrounded by love and is thriving.
Aoife is showing the world that different is beautiful, and is living proof that cats with mobility challenges can not only live happy, fulfilling lives themselves, but are also a great source of happiness and fulfillment for us.
